“Male Mallard Duck in Flight” is an ornithological study of a male mallard duck for Art 112 at Cal Poly Humboldt for the Spring 2023 semester. Interest in the mallard duck stems from familial connections to duck hunting and overall curiosity about ducks from childhood. This work combines gouache and acrylic ink, utilizing assorted sizes of brushes on toned grey paper.
