“Whose That Artist” is a Guess-Who-style board game between two players. The purpose of the game is to identify the other player’s selected card by asking questions to eliminate incorrect cards, ultimately guessing what the other player’s card is. The subject of the game is Art History, spanning from 1563 to 2005. Each board contains the same cards, placed in different parts of the board. Each player will select a card by random by the larger deck, identifying which card is theirs to answer questions about.
This game was a major semester project at Cal Poly Humboldt’s Art 357C Art Education class. The goal of the project was to make an educational art game. “Whose That Artist” is an interdisciplinary project, combining art education, art history, and jewelry + small metals practices.
The game includes two boards with 15 cards each, a deck of 15 cards, an instructional pamphlet, and a card box.
